Every Bride Deserves To Wear Wang

Blushing Brides

Vera Wang's name is synonymous with bridal fashion, but it hasn't always been easy to get your hands on one of her creations without hundreds of thousands of dollars and years to be on a waiting list. But beginning last month, inexpensive retailer David's Bridal began selling White by Vera Wang, a reasonably priced line of bridalwear modelled after her main line of designs.

Wang didn't cut any corners with these dresses, either; the collection isn't obviously distinguishable from her more expensive designs in any way. Her trademark use of tasteful, simple elegance with clean lines is balanced out by whimsical cuts and fabrics, but there don't seem to be any corners cut when it comes to the quality of the garments. And when I say it's moderately priced, I mean it's moderately priced- gems like this one-shouldered dress retail for a whopping $600. Take that, J. Crew.

  1. I love that VW is doing these affordable gowns. $600 is nothing compared to her gowns that can easily run $5-10k each! I think I'm gonna def take a look and see if they're as lovely in person...
