Missoni is famous for using their family members in their advertisements, and after naming Leighton Meester the new face of their brand last year, many wondered if the serious Meester could carry the iconic label. However, in the above image, one of several Spring/Summer 2011 advertisements released yesterday, the actress looks fresh-faced and sparkling, like a teenager really having the time of her life at a country fair. There was so much personality imbued in this one picture that I could easily picture scores of young women pausing at this ad in a magazine, imagining a summer fling, the perfect night, pink fluffs of cotton candy and a spontaneous candid on a carousel... all in that sheer little Missoni dress.
Or maybe that's just the summer I imagined when I saw the ad? Either way, my favorite little jalibird looks fab.
