Ginger Grant, played by Tina Louise, was a 'famous' actress marooned on the island. She often name-dropped several well-known celebrities, claiming she was painted by Picasso, for example, and her movies included 'Belly Dancers From Bali Bali' and 'The Rain Dancers of Rango Rango.'
Skipper, Ginger, and Gilligan
Ginger brought up her movie roles often, and many of her costumes, which she took with her on the S. S. Minnow, made an appearance based on the escape plan of that days episode.

When not in costume, Ginger had a sophisticated style, favoring sleek and sexy gowns along with tailored cigarette pants. Her look was definitely timeless, considering most of what she wore would still be considered the epitome of glamour. (One word: leopard.)
She often appeared in animal prints, sequins, and feather boas, and kept her distinctive red hair curled using rollers fashioned out of coconuts. Because on Gilligan's Island, there's nothing you can't do with a coconut.
