The wedding itself was small, intimate, and elegant; there were white candles everywhere and Stevie Wonder playing. The church is located on the grounds of an orphanage, with huge, green fields and a little river winding through it.
Of course my mother was a nervous wreck right up until the moment of 'I Do...' but she was a lovely nervous wreck.
The BF wore this awesome hot pink number that beat out her usual basic black by leaps and bounds, and a matching coral necklace. We all know how I feel about coral: LOVED IT!
I wore another UO dress from that blowout sale they just had, tied with a white sash to match my mom. I was lucky to find a dress in such an amazing color.
The earrings were picked up at the antiques store for a whopping... $8! (Don't mind my face, I have no idea what's going on there.)
It was exactly the kind of wedding I want to have someday, with the most important people there: friends, family, and the person I love. No elaborate cake or $10,000 dollar dress; no destination wedding with sandy beaches and a band singing a cover of 50 Cent's Candy Shop (oh, 'The Hangover,' how I love thee)... simple and classic.
And my favorite pic of the entire event:
