Thursday Style Icon: Front Row At Fashion Week

Haute Couture Fall 2013 fashion week just wrapped up in Paris, and of course a veritable who's who of style celebrities were there to view the collections and support their favorite designers. Todays Thursday Style Icon's were leaders of the pack when it came to showing up and showing out in the front row.

Miroslava Duma, one of my favorite Thursday Style Icons ever, wowed all week, voted 'Best Dressed' on multiple lists. My personal favorite look, however, was the Jason Wu ensemble she wore to the Armani Prive show. Some considered her wearing a different designer to the show to be in bad taste, but I think her ensemble of printed bralette, pencil skirt, and blazer more than made up for it. It was perfection on her toned physique.

Model Joan Smalls was spotted on the streets of Paris in a too cool mix of high and low: American Apparel top, Marc Jacobs pants, Gucci shoes, and Ray-Ban sunglasses. Seriously, it doesn't get much chicer than this when it comes to street style. She was also right on trend in her cropped top (similar to Miroslava Duma) and tailored pants.

Longtime readers know I never had a soft spot for Rihanna. As time has gone on, however, she has really grown on me and I find myself falling more and more in love with her fashion sense, which combines an interesting mix of street style and high fashion coupled with a completely fearless style. Nowhere was this more apparent than in the outfit she wore to the Chanel haute couture show: a nude sweater dress, captoe pumps, and a bevy of pearls, all by Chanel. A ladylike, quilted bag finished the outfit off.

Sidenote: Rumors have been floating around that she could be the new face of Chanel for months, after she received a key to and private tour of Coco Chanel's Paris apartment and was photographed with Chanel designer Laetitia Crahay. They kicked into overdrive with her front row seat at the couture show, nestled in between Karl Lagerfield himself and supermodel Natalia Vodianova.
