WHO WHAT WEAR recently did a Style Spotlight on Amber Heard, at which point I realized that Number 406 from Zombieland has come into her own sartorially. The gorgeous young starlet has really cultivated a polished, classic style far different from the sexpot seen in teen films like Friday Night Lights and Never Back Down, taking her cues from sultry screen sirens of the past. Tousled blond hair and fire-engine red lips have become her trademark, along with uniquely structured garments that put an edgy twist on her basic pieces. Heard also doesn't wear many patterns or prints, preferring to stick with raised and embossed fabrics that provide interesting texture.
I love her neat, polished style. The Playboy Club star looks sophisticated yet still youthful and current, which is a talent not many actresses have mastered. Heard walks a delicate line between maturity and whimsy, as when she pairs a sleek blazer with tight leather pants or a floor-grazing evening gown with a thigh-high slit.
