The Look For Less: Jessica Biel

On June 12, Jessica Biel was spotted in a Toronto, Canada airport, looking quite chic in a white blazer and layered tees as she rolled two suitcases behind her. The 29-year-old actress is in town to start work on her latest project, a remake of the 90's classic Total Recall, opposite Colin Farrell, Kate Beckinsale, and Ethan Hawke, and she breezed into the airport in the White Urban Long Blazer by Ann Taylor, $159 (off from $248), and a Grey/White Thin Stripe Long Sleeve Sleepover Tee by Alternative Apparel, $56. Her leather leggings and flats have gone uncredited (if ANYBODY can find out who they're by, please let me know), but $304 for a tee shirt and blazer is enough to land this ensemble in the Look for Less section of the blog.

This is a tricky outfit to replicate for summer due to the heavy-duty bottom half, but the blazer/nautical stripe combo is screaming Summer 2011. An all-white blazer is a must this season, and I like the $35 Linen Workwear Tailored Blazer from ASOS, which is made of a light, breathable material and actually comes in six different colors. Any old striped tee would do in this situation, but a quick search led me to the Truly Madly Deeply Striped Deep Scoop Pocket Tee from Urban Outfitters, $29, which I'm partial to for it's similar slouchy shape to the more expensive version. A plain white tank and bowtie flats were easy enough to find ($4 and $48, respectively), but I tweaked things a bit when it came to the pants.

Leather is hot. It's now summer. And for the vast majority of us not located in Canada, home of the four day summer, or the entire Eastern hemisphere, the pants that Biel has on just aren't going to work. If you really want the edge that the leather brings into the look, these pleather pants might be a more weather-friendly alternative at $59, as well as these leather shorts or these leather shorts. (Both retail for $99 from Urban Outfitters.) But if it were moi, I'd chuck the Joan Jett look altogether and swap out the pants for these Cuffed Linen Blend Shorts from Forever 21, $17. The streamlined shorts bring a fun, flirty vibe to the look and instantly tie the whole thing together.
