Jil Sander JI16502
I'm a regular reader of Karen's awesome blog, and it was over there that I can across the babies: sensible black oxfords on the top, fluorescent pink party time on the bottom. The Jil Sander JI16502 have a soft calfskin leather upper, pink leather outsole, lace closure and round toe. They also retail for $795 at Zappos which is way out of my price range. The distinct and distinct design isn't easy to emulate... but with both minimalism and color blocking being so huge now, it's easy to get a similar pop of clean, clear lines and color at YOUR feet.
These Doc Martens, $99, are the closest in shape to the Jil Sander pair, while the Pointer Elsie Oxfords, $210, are an intense cherry red similar to the vibrancy of the pink sole in the original. But my personal favorites have to be the Soulland B. James Buck Oxford, $70, for its pure shock value of black and white and beautiful suede upper. Thos are definitely going in my closet!
