One of the (many) highlights of my trip was a seven-hour bike tour with Bob, of New Orleans Bike Tours. He was incredible, taking us all throughout the city and it's neighborhoods: French Quarter, Lower Wards, Garden District... I saw it all. We got an early start at 8am, broke for lunch at around 12, and were done by 3. It was hot. HOT.

Luckily, Bob came stocked with water and I wore one of my coolest outfits, simple jean shorts and a tee. I thought I might collapse by the end of it, but I pushed through and gave my body a great workout, on top of everything else. Anyone going to New Orleans HAS to take this tour!
Being myself, of course I forgot to take pictures of Bob, the awesome couple that took the tour with me, or myself actually ON a bike, but I got lots of great pictures of the city:

This memorial sits right at the dock, with the contemporary art behind it; see the colors? The art is a row of colored planks that form different images when walked, or in our case, rode around... a Star of David, a kaleidoscope, etc. It is a breathtaking piece that can never really be seen the same way twice.
