How Festive

Photobucket

This past weekend, I finally made it to Six Flags! It was a gorgeous 75 degree day on Sunday, and since I didn't make it to the park the entire summer, I needed to make it at least for Fright Fest. There is nothing like riding roller coasters and demented hayrides in the dark.

They seriously trick out Six Flags this time of year: blood fountains, skeletons, evil clowns, demons- the whole nine. Park workers also dress up as little evil beings (I have no better way of describing it) running around scaring the living daylights out of people with noisemakers. They can't actually touch anybody, but they were literally chasing people up and down the stretches of the park where they were stationed.

The park wasn't that crowded, and most of the people that were there were focusing on the scares and not necessarily the thrill rides. So, of course, we focused on the roller coasters first, riding the Superman, Batman, and Dark Knight coaster twice after there was no line behind us. Always a win!

Waiting in line

But we saved the best for last: a spooky Asylum-themed haunted house that went both indoors and outdoors and was shrouded in fog. Park workers dressed as escapees from the asylum ran around screaming, sneaking up behind me, and running at me with chainsaws. Seriously. It was scary. It was awesome.

The entire trip was a huge sucess, and a great way to cap off the warm weather season. Bring on the holidays!
