Faux the Love of Fur

Fur is, of course, a solid winter trend. Take it from Rachel Zoe, a fur coat is something that never goes out of style. This season, however, animal hair marched up and down the runway on not only coats, but pants, boots, and vests.

The idea of fur is that it's always glamourous; it dresses up jeans and always goes with slim-fitting dresses. To give the puffy, oversized fur a sleekness and shape, belt it at the waist or pair it with items showcasing your limbs. If a full on, head-to-toe look like those seen on runways are too much for you, try a piece of fur on the hood or lapel of a jacket, like this one from Old Navy. They also make this vest, which only comes in black, but Forever 21 makes a similar-looking vest that comes in green. (At least, the website calls it green. It looks like more of a beige gold to me.)

One of the most popular ways to wear fur this year has been to go faux. Many fashion bloggers can be seen in fake animal vests tightly belted over long-sleeved tops, which is an easy way to incorporate the look into your existing wardrobe. Just pair it with skinny jeans or a maxi skirt and high heels for a cool, chic outfit.
