Summer Days in Soho
Ok so I am in serious love with Chanel. I'm talking, head-over-heels love. Karl Lagerfield can do no wrong in my eyes and choosing Lily Allen to be the new face of Chanel Cocoon handbags only cemented my opinion. When I get my first real job, I'm just going to take my entire paycheck there and buy this bag. Hand it over. As they said in Confessions of a Shopaholic, 'It would be an investment.'
But I digress. A few years ago, I became obsessed with their enamel flower ring.
At $300+, a struggling babysitter/sophomore college student could only dare to dream of such a thing. And a struggling post-grad is in even less position to afford that dream- plus the rings were limited edition and currently can't be found ANYWHERE (the closest I came was a two-year waitlist over at Bag, Borrow, or Steal.
Enter Forever 21. I'm not too fond of their jewelry, but while perusing their website late one night, I came across this:
Could it be?! Not an exact replica, perhaps, but as close as I was going to get without prying off the rhinestones and hot-gluing the double C's on there myself. (Which I am still considering. Just kidding. Maybe.) I like to think of it as a long-lost relative in the Chanel family... perhaps a cousin, if you will.
And at $5.80, this beauty is all MINE! I cannot wait for it to come in the mail!
