Anybody that knows me knows that I went from being lukewarm on Rihanna to kinda sorta hating her to being OMG I AM SO IN LOVE WITH YOU AND WE ARE BEST FRIENDS IN MY HEAD.

So.

You can imagine my joy when Balmain released three behind-the-scenes videos yesterday detailing the campaign that features her as the new face of their brand. Although Rihanna put out the images weeks ago via her personal instagram page, the gorgeous Balmain Spring/Summer 2014 advertisements are showcased in-depth in this behind-the-scenes shoot, revealing the entire creative process.

Rihanna forged a relationship with Balmain creative director Olivier Rousteing months ago, after visiting the Balmain studio in Paris where they hit it off. Naming her his 'muse,' he designed the entire Spring/Summer 2014 collection around her and they broke the news of her being named the new face of Balmain on instagram. Rousteing proclaimed, 'WHEN YOUR INSPIRATION MEETS YOUR CREATION,' on his personal page, while Rihanna wrote, 'Guess who's the new BALMAIN Woman???!!!!!!!'

I love seeing these kinds of videos. It's one thing to see a finished product, but another to see the work of the make-up artists, design/set teams, photographers, etc. along with the model working together. Rihanna is truly a creative force to be reckoned with.
