After one highly successful collaboration with UK street brand River Island last season, singer Rihanna is back for more with a Fall/Winter 2013 offering. The two-part collection, which will be released first in September and then in November of this year, is right on trend with its sporty, edgy street wear. Featuring all manner of tops, bottoms, dresses, jackets, and accessories like shoes and even undergarments, the glam-meets-urban pieces are definitely reminiscent of Rihanna's personal style.
Camouflage was a major print, being used on many of the items, along with stripes and a particular black-and-white baroque pattern. The rest of the line was made up of relatively neutral tones that can be worked into a wardrobe and worn over and over again. Definitely a high-fashion take on urban wear, tomboy staples like jean jackets, hoodies, and baggy shorts are mixed in with sexy maxi- and cocktail dresses, bra tops, and leather pants. There was also a bit more emphasis on personal branding this time around: waistbands, pant legs, hems, and accessories were emblazoned with both her nickname, 'RiRi,' and personal motto, 'G4L,' which stands for 'Gangsta 4 Life.'
Although the line won't be for sale for a few months, Rihanna has already been spotted in head to toe designs from the collection.
