Bayou's Best
You're not in NOLA if you don't drink a Hand Grenade
Bourbon St
I had an awesome first night in NOLA. My hotel(the amazing St. Louis) was in the heart of the French Quarter, a half block away from Bourbon St. So after a day of shopping on Royal, Canal, and Decatur Street's, I wandered over to see what the fuss was all about.
And man, is it ABOUT! Bar after bar, club after club, drinks, and the most amazing people you can think of, all on a three block radius.
The sweetest bartender in the world
Being in downtown NOLA reminds me of the Lower East Side in New York, without the snotty jerks, or Times Square without the pricky tourists. The tourists in New Orleans are all about having a good time- the PEOPLE in New Orleans, a resilient batch for sure, are about rebuilding. I loved it.
The outfit... shirt: H&M, $7. Skirt: Forever 21, $6. Sandals: Nine West, $20. Just the right amount of oomph, but not too much for vacation.
