This week has had some of the most beautiful weather that we've seen thus far, and on Thursday I celebrated by wearing a nautical theme to work. I paired a striped men's sweater from Forever 21 with a pair of khaki's from Old Navy. And true to prep form, I rolled up the bottom of the pants; my friend says that's what makes them casual. I don't own a pair of boat shoes so I just went with my low-cut Converse (and even if I had them, I don't know if I would have worn them... I'm not quite ready to stomp out the punk in me just yet).
I had a bunch of gift cards left over from Christmas, so I also went out to Macy's and Victoria's Secret on Thursday to spend it well. I bought a gorgeous cocktail ring, and finally got on board with rompers when I picked up this floral version from Victoria's Secret:
(Don't mind my face. I wasn't sure if I liked it.)
I also tried on an all-black version, but it didn't look like anything! It looked like pajamas, which has been my major gripe with rompers since they became so popular. I've seen many a girl looking like she just rolled out of bed and threw on some gladiators.
Yeah... NO.
Later on, I met up with the BFF to pick up some sneakers for her and FOOD for me! She's got a little bit of a leg injury so she's rocking a cane and whatnot.
But all in all, it was a good day :) Here's some more pics:
Me with the cane!
hahahahahaha!! That photo of you in the floral rompers is sooo cute!
ReplyDelete...and yes, you're right, rompers can look like bedwear and also, not all bodies suit it. You do but you have a long torso. Short torso women...uh-uh... not a good look.
Fab blog! Thanks you for your comments on Chicismo. Come visit me, let's follow each other!
